History: In an almost all male family, the only girl could have gone two ways- a tomboy, raised like her brothers, or a spoiled little princess, the cherished daughter. Lavender went the way of the princess. Lavender has always been rather silly and superficial, though she isn't stupid. She's actually surprisingly intellegent but prefers to act (far) below her IQ. She pretends to be stupid as a sort of defense mechanism, sprung from being the youngest. Her older siblings couldn't blame her if she acted sweet and innocent and unknowing. However, her stupidity being mostly feigned, little by little it's kind of invaded her. The more she pretends, the more it becomes real. Lavender also is oppressively cheerful, a banner-waving glass half full person. Lavender is attracted to beauty and pretty things and people and places a high premium on physical appearence. Being attractive is incredibly important to her. Very trivial things make her happy- mostly clothes and make-up related, and she has a tendancy to babble on- in her weak, breathy voice- about things that aren't interesting to most people, like the virtues of wearing blue and orange together. She likes people who are like her, and people who are very attractive, but hates seriousness and depth. Basically, she's a ditz- but she has layers... Sort of.
